Following a successful first year, multi-talented Tejano-Conjunto artist J.R. Gomez returns with another great event to provide toys and gifts to families served by nonprofit organization SAFE Austin. SAFE is a merger of Austin Children’s Shelter and SafePlace, both long-standing and respected human service agencies in Austin serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence.

Last year’s show brought in nearly $2000 and J.R. was able to personally deliver over 250 gifts and toys to SAFE Austin.

You can help us continue to help these families and put smiles on these kids’ faces in several ways:

  1. Join us Friday December 6th at The BARn for a fantastic night of Tejano and Conjunto music. $10 at the door or 1 unwrapped toy per person. See the list of suggestions here.
  2. If you’re unable to attend or want to sponsor the event, donate online.
  3. Help spread the word to friends, family and on social media.
